Donegal Forest Rally all systems go.With less than 2 weeks to the event, the Donegal motor club are excited to say that this year’s forest rally is ready to go. Competitors thinking of doing the event are asked to send their entries in asap as the closing date is Friday the 16th.
The entries are currently quiet low, and on speaking to the COC Daniel Conaghan he is confident that the event will run if competitor would just send in their entries sooner rather than later. The event is using new forestry from its previous events in 2007 and 2008 with better surfaced stages.
Currently on the list of entries is a man back to defend his title from 2008,Adrian Heatherington, also entered is Donagh Kelly , with a local Donegal Town man John McCafferty on the notes.
The event is shaping up to be very exciting for competitors and spectators alike.

Donegal Forestry Rally 24th July 2010 |
The 2010 Abbey Hotel Forestry Stages Rally, will take place on Saturday the 24th of July.
The event will be based in Donegal Town, Scrutiny will take place on Friday evening the 23rd from 4 to 8 pm at S&R Motors, Clar Road, Donegal Town.
The event kicks off early Saturday morning with the Service area at Watson Hire and Donegal Fruit all day Saturday.
The event will see a mix of new stages and the re-use of some of themore popular, Classic Stages from the 2008 event.
The format will be 10 stages, 5 different stages repeated twice. Coillte and the Donegal Motor Club have worked very closely and hardto bring the roads up to a very high standard, which will leave themas good of quality stages as are around.
The Abbey Hotel is offering a special rate of €99 per room for people, Coming to the rally.
